About The Artist
Golnaz Abdoli is a San Francisco–based photographer who explores form, light, and the natural world in her work. She earned a double major in Biological Sciences and Human Development from UC Davis and later received her California teaching credential in elementary education. After more than two decades of teaching, she turned to photography in 2014. Her background in Biology and Human Development informs her interest in the connections between nature and human experience. Her photographs have been exhibited at the Triton Museum, and recognized by the Center for Photographic Art in Carmel and the Julia Margaret Cameron Awards. Her work has also been featured in All About Photo Magazine and LensWork.
